About Ghana Duty Calculator
Updated 2026-08-19
Ghana Duty Calculator is built and maintained by CurioLabs to give importers an accurate, itemised estimate of what Ghana Customs (GRA) will charge on a vehicle — before it ships.
Where the rates come from
Every duty band, levy rate and overage-penalty schedule in the calculator is taken directly from GRA's published vehicle importation schedules — the same rates GRA applies through ICUMS (the Integrated Customs Management System). Nothing is estimated or inferred; the underlying rate tables are reproduced in full on the rates guide.
Where the CIF value comes from
Duty is charged on a vehicle's CIF (Cost, Insurance, Freight) value. Where available, the calculator pulls the VIN-based reference price GRA itself uses via UniPass Ghana / ICUMS; otherwise it uses the CIF figure entered by the user, converted to Ghana cedis at a live exchange rate.
What the calculator does not do
It does not connect to ICUMS or submit anything to Customs — it is an independent estimate. The final, binding assessment always comes from Ghana Customs at the point of declaration, and can differ due to reference-price updates, the exchange rate on the day, or details found on physical examination.
Who publishes this
Ghana Duty Calculator is a product of CurioLabs. Updates to rates and rate logic are reviewed against GRA's published schedules; this page's "Updated" date reflects the last content review.
